General Questions
30 minutes, no agenda. You tell me what's going on. I'll be honest about whether I can help – and if I can't, I'll point you somewhere better.
UK leadership teams – typically FTSE 100, PE-backed, or ambitious scale-ups. CEOs, MDs, and their executive teams who know something needs to shift.
I facilitate – your team builds the answer. I hold the space, ask the hard questions, and make sure we get to real agreement – not polite nodding.
When they're useful. But I don't force your situation into a model that doesn't fit. The approach is shaped around what you actually need.
UK-based, but I work with clients across time zones. Most work is a mix of in-person and virtual.
Absolutely. Sometimes a single workshop or a few coaching sessions is exactly what's needed. We can always build from there.
That's always part of the design. I build capability as I go so you're stronger when I leave, not dependent on me coming back.
Leadership Alignment
It depends on what you need. Some engagements are a few intensive days. Others run over months. We'll scope it together based on where you are and what success looks like.
Away-days create energy but rarely create change. I focus on surfacing what's really going on and making sure it gets addressed – not just discussed.
Usually, yes. The 1-2-1 conversations are where I learn what's really happening. They also build trust before we get in a room together.
Sometimes it is. More often, it's a system that's allowing unhelpful behaviour to continue. Either way, we'll name it and work out how to address it.
That's fine. This process works whether you're aligning around an existing strategy or building direction from scratch.
Typically 4–6 weeks. Some are shorter; others extend into implementation support. We scope it together.
Typically from £15k–£40k depending on team size, complexity, and scope. We agree fees upfront – no surprises.
Absolutely. The best teams invest in alignment proactively – at the start of a new chapter, after rapid growth, or because they know there's another gear. This isn't remedial. It's how high-performing teams stay that way.
Strategy consultants tell you what to do. I create the conditions for your team to work it out together – with structure, outside perspective, and the hard questions you might not ask yourselves.
Then we'll learn from what didn't land. Usually the issue is that alignment was a moment, not a rhythm – or the hard conversations didn't actually happen. This time we embed it properly.
Yes. The individual conversations are where I learn what's really happening – and where trust gets built before we get in a room together.
I facilitate – your team builds the answer. Through honest conversations, diagnostic analysis, and intensive working sessions. No PowerPoint theatre.
Away-days create energy but rarely create change. I focus on surfacing what's really going on and making sure it gets addressed – not just discussed.
That's Operating Model territory – structure, decision rights, processes across the organisation. I do that too. But alignment comes first.
Operating Model
Typically 6–12 weeks, depending on scope. We'll agree the timeline upfront based on what you need.
Only what's broken. Sometimes it's a full restructure. Sometimes it's just decision rights and meeting rhythms. We start with the diagnosis.
Not necessarily. Operating model work is about how the organisation works, not headcount. If there are people implications, we'll handle them properly.
By building the new model with the people who'll live with it. Not consulting them after the fact – involving them from the start.
Then we'll learn from what didn't work. Usually the issue is implementation, not design. This time we'll make sure it actually lands.
Change Delivery
Until you're stable, in control, and set up for sustainable success. That might be a few months or longer – we'll agree what 'done' looks like upfront.
Sometimes. It depends on scale. For smaller programmes, it's just me. For larger ones, I can bring trusted people I've worked with before.
That's often when I'm called in. I'll diagnose what's gone wrong, reset expectations with stakeholders, and get things back on track.
Yes. I can set up the infrastructure and hand it over. Or I can run it. Whatever you need.
I stay accountable. Your success is my success. I don't write reports and leave – I stay until it actually works.
Executive Coaching
We'll design it around what works for you. Some clients prefer fortnightly. Others meet monthly or on-demand when
something comes up.
There's no fixed programme. Some engagements run for a few months around a specific challenge. Others are ongoing partnerships over years.
In consulting, I bring answers. In coaching, I help you find yours. Sometimes you need both – we can work out what's right for you.
Completely. What we discuss stays between us. If your organisation is sponsoring the coaching, we'll agree upfront what (if anything) gets shared.
I'm ICF-qualified and Hogan-certified. But honestly? What matters more is whether we click. That's what the chemistry call is for.
Commercial & Process
It depends on the work. Some engagements are fixed-fee. Others are day-rate. We'll agree what makes sense once I understand what you need.
Yes. The principles are the same whether it's 50 people or 5,000. What matters is whether the leadership team is ready to do the work.
Yes. I often complement existing advisors – bringing the people and change expertise while they handle strategy or technical implementation.
We define it together upfront. Sometimes it's specific metrics. Sometimes it's how the room feels different. Usually it's both.
I started in fast-paced FTSE 100 retail, rose to senior leadership over a decade, then moved into consultancy. I've worked with FTSE 100 boards, PE-backed teams, and public sector clients on transformations that actually landed.
What are your qualifications?
ICF-qualified coach. Hogan-certified. Management Today 35 Under 35. But honestly, what matters more is whether we click.
Direct, warm, energetic. I bring energy to hard conversations. The challenge is tough but never cold. Your success is my success.
